March Madness is here! No, not talking about college basketball, but rather the crazy weather many parts of the country seem to be having although the calendar tells us it is Spring. Here in CT it has not felt or looked very much like Spring, although we continue to wait patiently. Spring means sheering season, but as even our friends in Maryland and Virginia have experienced snow this week, the March sheering has certainly been delayed. Our current turn around times here at Still River Mill are 7-8 months for fine fibers that require dehairing; about 3-4 months for standard wool yarn orders; and about 5 months for roving or rug yarn. These times will of course increase once sheering season does get underway. We are busy preparing for a few Spring shows that will be here before we know it!
