Mill Spun Socks
Mill Spun Socks

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOCK MANUFACTURERS, SO OUR SOCK MAKING SERVICES ARE ON HOLD AS OF 2016

Socks Socks Inside Toe

Our socks are made from the yarn that we spin here at the mill with your fiber. The image above is of a heavyweight terry sock. We also can make a non-terry lightweight sock. The toes are hand serged so there is no little bump at the toe and pinky toe to cause discomfort in your shoe or boot.

We like to add a little nylon to the yarn to increase the longevity of the socks. The socks are then machine knit with another 10% nylon and spandex added in as separate strands to increase elasticity and strength. The final composition of the yarn is 90% your yarn and 10% nylon and spandex.

As little as 6-8 pairs at a time can be made using about 3 lbs of your raw fiber. The yarn we make is a lace yarn, so there are fiber restrictions on what we can spin that thin.
