We have no preference for which shipping company you use. We are currently using The United States Postal Service as our shipper due to customer satisfaction, customer service, and ease of use.

Having failed "Shipping 101" ourselves, we have some recommendations to ensure that your order arrives safely.

1. Pack your fiber in a bag before it goes into a box. When the shipper damages the box, the fiber is less likey to get pulled out of the box.

2. Do not tie off the bag. This allows moisture to leave the bag. Otherwise, the fiber can "steam" during shipment causing felting, mildew, and fiber decay.

3. Use the smallest box available to ship your fiber, and squash your fiber down into it. Not only is this cheaper, the box is less likely to get damaged in shipping.

4. If at all possible, use boxes 12x12x12 or smaller (shipping girth calculations under 84"). This will save you 2/3 the cost of shipping as compared to a larger box. 3 small boxes are much cheaper than 2 large boxes.

USPS Shipper Notes

1. Please get "Delivery Confirmation" when using the Post Office to ship. This provides a tracking number. No need to purchase "Priority", unless of course you want to.

2. You must include the P.O. Box 397 on your box. We do not have a mailbox as we live too close to the Post Office to get one. And our incoming shipments end up in another town first, then delivered to our town. Without the P.O Box 397, the boxes stay in the other town.
